Birth Pains.
If you start on the left end of the chart, you see the seven year
covenant with Israel. This refers to the 70-week prophecy in
Daniel 9:27. We see that the 70th week gives us a 7-year period of time
that structures the overall flow of Biblical prophecy. In the middle, 3
½ years you have the Abomination that Causes desolation. Jesus also
mentioned this is his Olivet discourse so when you put the two
together we now have a time frame to put Jesus' teaching into. We know
that the signs that Jesus gives are chronological because they parallel
the seals of revelation chapter 6. We see that birth pains and the four
housemen deal exclusively with the first half of the 70th week and have
to do with Antichrist coming to power. The "Birth Pains" begins after
the
covenant is made with Israel and Antichrist goes out to
conquer and bent on conquest. I believe that according Rev 17
that Antichrist will destroy the great harlot the city of Rome called
Babylon. She is identified as the city that sits on seven
hills, and the city that in Johns day ruled over the kings of the earth
which both refer to Rome. He will than bring the whole world into
subjection to his rule.
Great Tribulation.
When Antichrist is revealed, at the “abomination that causes
desolation” then you will begin a period of 3 ½ years of great
tribulation. It is during this period that the Bible makes clear what
will happen: 1. Antichrist will have worldwide dominion, 2. there will
be two witness who will prophecy in the city of Jerusalem, 3. a remnant
of the Jews will be protected. 4. Jerusalem will be trampled by the
Gentiles, 5. the Church will be persecuted. I believe that the seven
trumpets are in response to the prayers of the saints and therefore
take place in the second half of Daniels 70th week during the
tribulation. The Seven Trumpets
are to slow down the persecution that is taking place by terrible
ecological and spiritual disasters. There will be an Idol set up in the
Temple of God that the world will be forced to worship by taking a mark
on their hand or foreheads. Anyone refusing to take the mark will be
killed. I am certainly suspicious that this will be Islam the world
will be forced to worship the Islamic Beast.
The Second Coming
Jesus tells us in the Olivet discourse that the second coming cuts
short the great tribulation so Jesus will come back sometime before the
end of the 3 ½ years. Jesus when he comes, come visibly with his dead
saints and for his living ones. We will meet him in the air and are
instantly given resurrection bodies, the dead will be raised the living
will be changed. We then escort Jesus back to the city of Jerusalem
where he will rescue his people the Jews, and they will believe in
their messiah. Jesus will begin to establish his rule over the earth by
pouring out his wrath on the kingdom of the Antichrist (bowls of wrath).
Millennial Reign, Final Judgment and eternal State.
Christ will then set up his 1000 year reign over the earth. We the
saints will rule with Christ over the earth, Satan will be bound and
the nations will be at peace. At the end of the 1000 years Satan will
be released and deceive the nations once again and they will rebel
against the rule of Christ they will be killed by Christ. There will
then be the resurrection and judgment of all of the dead and after
that, the new heavens and new earth and eternity with God in the final
state.
